Skilled motor vehicle experts are always in high demand and taking one of our motor vehicle courses could be your first step into this industry.

Learning in our £4.3 million STEM Centre with industry- standard equipment and high-spec diagnostic tools, you could soon find yourself moving into employment in the motor industry.

This course will develop the skills gained at Level 2, and will help you gain a deeper insight into the motor vehicle sector, giving you the skills to progress to higher study or employment.

Engaging with employers is also an integral part of this programme – we’ll seek to ensure that you have opportunities to gain real-world experience of your chosen sector.

Topics on your Study Programme will include:

• Complex Vehicle Paint Application
• Rectification of Paint Defects
• Preparation of Vehicles
• Repairing Complex Body & Structural Faults
• Repairing Panels
• Preparing and Fixing Complex Units
• Management Studies

Elements of study

Your programme consists of the following elements:

• Study of your chosen vocational subject - 50% of your programme
• Employability skills, such as punctuality, attendance, communication and team work
• Work experience or an Industry Placement, giving you a taste of working life
• Tutorial and personal development, such as healthy living, volunteering and citizenship skills

Accident Repair (Paint) Diploma Level 2.

You will be assessed through practical assessments, online testing and building your portfolio.

Following further study you could work as a:

• Motor vehicle breakdown engineer, earning up to £40,000 per year
• Vehicle Body Repairer, earning up to £30,000 per year
• Mechanic, earning up to £35,000 per year
