Apprenticeship Vacancies

Want to Earn & Learn?

Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study.

As an apprentice you’ll:

  • work alongside experienced staff
  • gain job-specific skills
  • earn a wage and get holiday pay
  • get time for study related to your role (usually one day a week)

Apprenticeships take 1 to 5 years to complete depending on their level. Take a look at some of our latest apprenticeship vacancies in the local area.

If you want to apply, have your CV ready and you can simply apply today by clicking on any one of our vacancies below:

  • What is an Apprenticeship?

    more less

An Apprenticeship is a real job with training that leads to nationally recognised qualifications and recognition.

It's an alternative to full-time college study and combines on-the-job learning with off-the-job training. Apprenticeships are a great way to obtain up-to-date skills that employers are looking for.

  • How much will I earn?

    more less

All apprentices are entitled to at least the Apprenticeship minimum wage, which is £3.90 per hour for those aged 16 to 18.

The same applies if you’re 19 and over and in the first year of your Apprenticeship - after that you are entitled to the National Minimum Wage.

However, many of the employers we work with pay substantially more than this.

  • Do I need to come into college at all?

    more less

Every apprentice is entitled to 20% of their paid time allocated to off-the-job training. Whether this is in college or your workplace is dependent on the programme and what we negotiate with you and your employer at the start of the Apprenticeship.

Some of our Apprenticeships follow a traditional ‘day release’ model. Others can be more flexible.

All our apprentices are registered students of Bolton College and as such are entitled access any of our facilities and student benefits.
