Find yourself supporting teachers and helping children with reading, writing and learning activities. You might find yourself working in schools and nurseries, working with pupils across a range of abilities.

 

So, what does a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship involve?

 From lesson preparation to supervising activities, helping with trips and planning exciting activities for your pupils - there's so much to learn on a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. You can be sure to get involved in all aspects of classroom life and providing support to students where needed. Your Apprenticeship could lead to a career as a:

 • Teaching Assistant

Learning Mentor
 • Learning Support Worker
 • Lecturer
 • Primary School Teacher
 • Secondary School Teacher
 • Special Educational Needs Teacher
 • Behaviour Support Coordinator

 

Once qualified you could expect to earn between £11,500 to £23,000, depending on the route you choose to take.

 

 Alternatively, you can progress to a foundation degree or Higher Level Teaching Assistant training. The University of Bolton also offer a range of Education & Teacher Training programmes. Please be aware that to become a fully qualified Teacher you will need to study up to degree level.
