    This course is accredited by the professional awarding body ABT (Associated Beauty Therapists) in hair extensions covering both the micro weft and plait weave technique. This is a one day course delivered in our 'state of the art' Hairdressing studios at our Deane Road Campus.

    - The application, removal and maintenance of micro weave and plait weave hair extensions.
    - Covering consultation
    - Colour matching
    - Health and safety
    - Application and blending using cutting techniques

    There will be a demonstration from a industry professional and time to practice the technique on a model or a head block.
  • Entry requirements

    Please come to class wearing smart clothing and closed toe shoes.
    If English is your second language you will need to hold a minimum of a Entry 3 / Level 1 English qualification.
    To ensure success on this course you must arrive promptly and stay until the course has finished.
  • How will I be assessed?

    Assessment will be on models or mannequin heads. The trainer will observe your skills and give you feedback which will allow you to improve and perfect your new techniques
  • Is there anything else I need to know?

    A full hair extension kit and detailed manual for you to take home is included in the cost of this course.
    A head block will be provided for you to use during the day.
