Our FREE maths courses begin at Entry Level then gradually progress to GCSE.


Following an informal assessment, we’ll determine which course is the right fit for you. You can also access one-to-one support at our drop-ins, if you’re not feeling confident about stepping back into learning.


We’ll then support you as you gradually acquire essential maths skills, helping you to progress towards your ultimate goal – whether this be the skills to support your child, for work or progressing to GSCE!

Maths Course                 

Progression Pathway

   Functional Skills Maths
   Entry Levels 1 to 3

This 24-week portfolio-based course will provide a personalised learning programme, designed to develop your skills for use in everyday life and work, gaining you a Level 1 achievement in maths.

   Level 1 Certificate in Maths


This 24-week portfolio-based course will build your mathematical skills and knowledge for use in everyday life and work, and to progress towards GCSE attainment.

   Functional Skills Level 1


This intensive short course will build your mathematical skills and knowledge for use in everyday life and work, and to progress towards GCSE attainment.

   Pre-GCSE Maths for ESOL
   -ESOL into GCSE Maths: Numbers
   -ESOL into GCSE Maths: Algebra
   -ESOL into GCSE Maths: Data

If English isn't your first language, then this 10-week course is tailored to support you as you prepare for that next important step. If you have a minimum skills level in maths, or prior attainment of Functional Skills Entry 3 or above, this course will give you skills and knowledge required to successfully progress to GCSE.

   GCSE Maths – Level Up

In one year, this course will enable you to personalise learning and progression in GCSE grade attainment, at the right pace for you.

A Grade 4(C) or above is essential for many jobs or to progress in further education. If you have a GCSE grade 3(D) or below, or Functional Skills Grade 2 prior attainment, then we will support you to achieve that all-important GCSE grade 4 or above, in just one year!

You’ll need to complete an informal assessment to see what level you’re at. This is nothing to worry about – it simply ensures that we find the right course for you.


There is an online booking system for assessments and you must book an assessment in advance - you can do this by visiting or by clicking the 'Book an assessment for English or maths' tab below.
