If you're good with children and would like to work in a school setting, you may consider a Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship. From lesson preparation to supervising activities, helping with outings to activity planning, we'll give you the building blocks for success. Our Apprenticeships include:

 

Level 2:

Level 3:

  • Supervising Art & Craft Activities
  • Supporting Staff with Outings/Trips
  • Assisting with Lesson & Activity Planning
  • Shadowing Teachers
  • Helping Children who need Extra Support
  • Involvement in All Aspects of Classroom Life

Teaching Assistants play a vital role in the classroom by helping students to reach their full potential. After completing your Apprenticeship, you can pursue employment as a:

 

  • Teaching Assistant
  • Behaviour Support Coordinator
  • Classroom Assistant
  • Pastoral/Welfare Support Assistant
  • Learning Support Assistant
  • Team Leader

 

Alternatively, you can progress to a foundation degree or Higher Level Teaching Assistant training. The University of Bolton also offer a range of Education & Teacher Training programmes. Please be aware that to become a fully qualified Teacher you will need to study up to degree level.
