A squad of Bolton College sports students were invited to Bolton Wanderers’ famous home ground, The Reebok Stadium, to compete in a friendly competition with the club’s educational partners.
More than 40 Bolton College BTEC sports students played against students from Bolton Wanderers Football Club’s community apprenticeship scheme and institute of sport course, which are run in partnership with the college.
Bolton College student, Jordan Winrow, 17, said: “We all had a fantastic day at the Reebok Stadium. It was such buzz and a real honour to play on a pitch that has seen so many amazing matches. It’s experiences like this that make our course really amazing!”
Ben Blocksidge, curriculum leader of sport and public services at Bolton College, said: “This was a great opportunity for Bolton College sports learners and our partners.
“The teams played fantastically together on the pitch at the Reebok Stadium. I’m sure it’s a memory they will appreciate for a long time to come.”
