Counselling Courses

Counsellors work with individuals to support personal development and in times of crisis or distress to help to bring about change in their lives, while respecting their values and capacity to find their own solutions.

We deliver counselling courses at all levels, taught by fully qualified and practising counsellors. To find out if counselling is for you, try our six-week taster course which runs throughout the year at various small and friendly college venues. Our ten-week skills course builds on the taster, providing a more in-depth introduction, with some written work. Reduced tuition fees may be available.

Beyond these introductory courses, we run formal counselling training, accredited by ABC, at Levels 2, 3 and 4 at the Deane Road Campus. Completion of the Level 4 course will enable you to practise as a qualified, professional counsellor. Reduced tuition fees are not available for these accredited courses.

We also offer other short courses such as anger management, bereavement and loss and assertiveness, including bespoke courses for external organisations.
