Engineering and manufacturing is one of the UK’s broadest sectors, accounting for over 19% of all UK employment! This means there’s a wealth of opportunity in the sector and this innovative programme will give you the practical and technical skills to build an exciting and rewarding career!

 

When it comes to employment or university, current and up-to-date qualifications are ESSENTIAL, so this two-year programme has been developed with employers and businesses, which means the content is:

Equivalent to three A Levels, the broad nature of this T Level will prepare you for a variety of roles; depending on where your ambitions lie, you’ll even get to focus on an educational specialism.

 

At the heart of this T Level is an Industry Placement, so you’ll also get to spend 20% of your time with an employer, giving you vital experience in the world of work.

Industry Placements

One of the many advantages of this T Level is an Industry Placement – what better way to enhance your learning, than utilising your new skills and knowledge on a sector-specific placement with an employer!

 

This means that 80% of your T Level will be classroom based, and the other 20% will see you learning from professionals in the engineering & manufacturing sector, on the job; on completion of the programme, you’ll impress employers and universities with your experience, ensuring you progress to your dream career or further learning!

Career options and progression

The sole purpose of a T Level is to prepare you for employment or university, and ultimately a dynamic career. Due to the broad range of topics covered on this T Level, you’ll be able to pursue a range of careers, and you could eventually work as a:

  • Manufacturing Engineer, within an assembly manufacturing facility, ensuring that products are built efficiently and to budget, earning up to £35,000 per year.
  • Automation & Innovation Engineer, possessing a broad knowledge of business processes and emerging technology solutions, earning up to £50,000 per year.
  • Electrical & Electronic Engineer, implementing a maintenance programme and replacing aged and obsolete electrical and electronic systems, as well as maintaining standards within a mature manufacturing environment, earning up to £50,000 per year.
  • Automotive Vehicle Technician, possessing a broad knowledge of maintenance, repair and installation skills associated with the safe maintenance and diagnostic analysis with present and emerging new technology like hybrid and electric vehicles, earning up to £35,000 per year.
  • Automotive Engineer, within an assembly plant facility, ensuring that products are planned, designed and built efficiently and to a budget, earning up to £35,000 per year.

 

T level 2021 22 Not Ready for a T Level4

If you’ve got the ambition to succeed on this T Level, but you’re not quite ready to start, you can begin with the T Level Transition Programme in Engineering & Manufacturing.

 

English and maths will be a focus, ensuring you get that essential grade 4, and you’ll also learn some of the vital skills that you will build on in this T Level.

 

On completion, you’ll be ready to progress, with the skills and confidence to succeed!
