What You'll Learn
This fascinating and informative course has six (there
are only 5 listed) mandatory units:
• Engineering Project
• Electrical and Electronic Principles
• Communication for Engineering Technicians
• Mechanical Principles and Applications
• Health & Safety in the Engineering Workplace
In addition, optional units including:
• Properties and Applications of Engineering Materials
• Electro, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems and
Devices
• Computer-aided Drafting
• Welding Technology
• Electrical Installation
You will have the opportunity to complete work
experience during the course. Many of our learners
are offered a permanent position at the end of their
placement, and around 15 of this year’s learners gained
some kind of employment through exposure to the
industry.
If required for your chosen career or HE course, you may
wish to study English & maths to Level 3.

experience
