How Will I Be Assessed?
Throughout your apprenticeship, you’ll be supported by a dedicated work-based tutor who will guide you through a series of tasks and projects designed to help you build your Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) in line with the apprenticeship standard. These tasks will be completed in your workplace and may include written assignments, practical activities, and reflective learning, all tailored to your role and development.
At the end of the Data Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship, you will complete an End-Point Assessment (EPA) to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and behaviours you’ve developed throughout the programme. The EPA consists of two key components: a Scenario Demonstration with questioning, where you will complete practical tasks based on realistic data-related scenarios under observation, and a Professional Discussion underpinned by a portfolio, where you’ll discuss your work and learning with an independent assessor using evidence you’ve gathered during your apprenticeship.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal qualifications required to begin the Data Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship—just a strong interest in working with data and a willingness to learn. This programme is ideal for individuals who are analytical, detail-oriented, and curious about how data can be used to support decision-making and drive business success.
However, if you have not yet achieved a GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths, you will need to complete Functional Skills Level 2 in these subjects as part of your apprenticeship. Don’t worry—comprehensive support will be provided to help you achieve these essential qualifications alongside your data training.
