What You'll Learn
You’ll learn how to plan and monitor work schedules, manage health and safety, control quality, and coordinate teams and subcontractors. The course also covers construction technology, environmental practices, contract management, and communication with stakeholders.
In addition to technical knowledge, you’ll develop leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills—essential for managing site activities and ensuring projects run smoothly and safely.

How Will I Be Assessed?
You’ll be assessed throughout the apprenticeship through a combination of practical observations, written assignments, and a portfolio of evidence. Your college tutor and employer will support you in developing your skills and tracking your progress.
At the end of the programme, you’ll complete an End Point Assessment (EPA). This includes a work-based project, a professional discussion, and a review of your portfolio to demonstrate your competence and readiness to work independently as a site supervisor.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal qualifications needed to start the Construction Site Supervisor Level 4 Apprenticeship—just a strong interest in construction and a desire to take on supervisory responsibilities. This programme is ideal for individuals who are organised, confident, and ready to lead teams on-site.
However, some employers may set their own entry requirements, such as specific GCSEs, A-levels, or a relevant Level 3 qualification. If you have not yet achieved a GCSE Grade 4/C (or equivalent) in English and Maths, you will be required to complete Functional Skills Level 2 in these subjects as part of your apprenticeship. Don’t worry—support will be provided to help you achieve these essential qualifications alongside your training.

After completing this apprenticeship, you could progress into roles such as Site Manager, Project Coordinator, or Construction Foreman. You may also choose to continue your studies with a higher-level apprenticeship or a degree in construction management or civil engineering.
