Wellbeing at Bolton College
PASTORAL AND WELLBEING SUPPORT INCLUDES:
👥 One-to-One Mentoring Provide individualised support to students to help them overcome personal, social, or academic barriers to learning.
🧠 Promote Mental Health & Wellbeing Offer guidance and signposting for mental health concerns, fostering emotional resilience and self-care strategies.
📚 Support Academic Progress Collaborate with tutors to monitor student progress and implement strategies that enhance engagement and achievement.
🚨 Safeguarding & Crisis Intervention Act as a first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, working closely with the college’s safeguarding team.
🤝 Inclusion & Advocacy Champion the inclusion of all learners, advocating for those at risk of exclusion or disengagement.
📅 Support Information Events Facilitate sessions on topics like healthy relationships, stress management, and substance misuse.
📈 Track & Monitor Wellbeing Maintain accurate records of student interactions and evaluate the impact of support interventions.
📞 Liaise with External Agencies Coordinate with mental health services and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
🎯 Promote Attendance & Retention Work proactively to improve student attendance, punctuality, and retention through targeted interventions.
🧭 Contribute to College Life Participate in induction events, open evenings, and enrichment activities to foster a supportive college community.
HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
