The College has dedicated teams of highly trained staff and advisers to ensure that you are able to realise your full potential and achieve your learning goals.

Personal Tutors
As a full-time learner, your son or daughter will have a Personal Tutor to give them support with anything from settling into college life to improving their study techniques. Your son or daughter will usually see their Personal Tutor once a week, both in group sessions and on a one-to-one basis, to work through their Individual Learning Plan. Learner Support
The department offer help with study skills, special assessment of learner needs, technical equipment support, communicator support, help with English as a second language, dyslexia support, help with English and maths and exam skills. Tel: 01204 907484.

Careers Advice
Our college courses are all about progression, whether into employment or on to university. Your son or daughter will be able to talk to their Personal Tutor and teachers about HE and visit our campus-based Guidance Centre at Manchester Road. Information, advice and guidance are readily available throughout your son or daughter’s time at college.

The Learner Services Department also has strong links with agencies outside of the College who can offer specialist help to learners on a range of issues.
