Proactive Advocates for Learners

Proactive Advocates for Learners or PALS as they like to be called, are a team of friendly and experienced Support Staff in the College.

Their role is to assist you if you are experiencing any personal problems which prevent you from attending College.

PALS will listen to you and work with you and your tutor to identify why you are having problems and will help you get back on track as soon as possible. The PALs team aim to maintain strict confidentiality at all times and adhere to the confidentiality code.

PALs can help you if you are:

  • Stressed?
  • Bullied?
  • Can’t talk to your tutor
  • Struggling with coursework
  • Can’t adjust to college life?
  • Experiencing financial worries (eg EMA)?
  • Have problems at home?
  • Personal problems?
