Our Beauty and Holistics training courses create opportunities to work in:

You can apply for numerous courses because your career route can be individualised to your own requirements. For mainstream courses there are two entry levels, depending on your background, which include:

• Level  1 Beauty Therapy
• Level  2 Beauty Therapy
• Level 2  Nail services
• Level 2 Complementary therapies (Holistics)
• Level 2 Hair and Media Make up

 
You can also apply for part time courses, or taster courses if you have never been to college or had a break from education. They are structured flexibly, running regularly throughout the year from one day courses up to 10 week courses. Also, we can vary the hours and weeks of your study, which is fantastic for people who can’t commit to a full time course.
The Beauty and Holistic department offers a wide range of courses, from pre entry to Foundation Degree level.  There is also the opportunity to study part time, full time or as an Apprentice, (while working in a salon). We offer courses at three sites: Deane Road, Farnworth, and Westhoughton, with day time, weekend and evening provision.
The mainstream courses test the learner’s underpinning knowledge. This is done by practical assessments, where treatments are performed on clients, as well as by assignments, online tests and oral questions. Each course varies in subject content, but will generally cover treatments in nail, hand and feet, waxing, make-up, eye treatments, massage and many more – see specific course information sheets for more detail.
