Motor Vehicle, Body Repair & Refinishing

1842_1935

We are one of very few Motor Vehicle Engineering training providers in the Greater Manchester and Lancashire area.

This means we offer an exceptional opportunity for apprentices to be trained by qualified staff whose knowledge and experience of the trade is second to none.

An Apprenticeship is a high quality learning programme aimed at people from the age of 16. You will earn a proper wage from your employer and attend college, usually for one day a week.

During this time you will be trained and assessed in theory and practical skills.  However, the majority of your training will take place ‘on the job’ and you will be paid a proper wage. You will be assigned a specialist assessor to support your progress and assess your skills in your place of work.

With ever-changing design and technology, your training will include up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of modern motor vehicle systems, repair, construction, and associated studies.

Careers in the Motor Vehicle Industry are extremely diverse, ranging from garage and shop floor related positions to Technical Development Engineers. The engineering industry constantly requires new and innovative young people to develop fresh ideas.

The Motor Vehicle and Fabrication Department is well resourced, kitted out with industry-standard equipment – including high-spec computerised diagnostic tools.

On the course you learn:

  • Working safely and effectively
