Working with children is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling career choices. You will also learn all about the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the underpinning knowledge of childcare.
Learners enrolling on a childcare full-time or Apprenticeship pathway at Bolton College find this out for themselves by working in the college’s dedicated childcare centre, or other childcare settings throughout Bolton.
You will also study the theory and best practice in childcare such as:
- Safeguarding children
- Healthy diets and lifestyles
- Child development through play
- Care of children with special needs
Throughout your training, you will be in a caring and supportive environment that encourages confidence and personal development.
Work placements in an established network of schools and nurseries ensure plenty of real-life experiences from which students on our Childcare courses obtain major benefits.
The training we provide will give you an excellent grounding and could lead to a career in:
- The National Health Service
- Paediatric nursing
- Hospital play specialist
- Nursery teaching
- Primary school teaching.
We offer courses at every level from Level 1, Level 2 Certificate courses, to Level 3 Diplomas. So whatever you have achieved in the past, we will be able to find the right level of course for you. All our courses are awarded by CACHE, the UK’s only specialist awarding body for nationally and internationally recognised qualifications in childcare.
Our achievement rates are outstanding and we have a range of support services to ensure you progress in your learning.
Our Childcare courses are taught at our Deane Road Campus in the centre of Bolton. The campus is conveniently located for students travelling from Manchester and throughout Lancashire.
