ESOL - English for Speakers of Other Languages

If you speak another language and want to learn English, you can get all the support you need through our ESOL course, which helps you to achieve your aims.

We help you acquire the skills you need to progress to a suitable college course or to apply for jobs. Our course will also improve your communication skills, build your confidence and help you integrate into life in the UK.

You can study in the comfort of our excellent classrooms at the Deane Road Campus, or if you want to study closer to home we also run many courses at community venues.  Our teachers are well qualified and many of them have experience teaching English overseas.

People aged 16-19 can enrol on our full-time ESOL Foundation programme. 

Your course will cover English, Numeracy, Information Technology, Personal and Social Development and Employment Skills. You also get the chance to try short vocational courses in other areas of the college.

Many of our learners progress to other college courses such as Business & IT, Hair & Beauty, Construction and Childcare.  Others get jobs or go on do academic qualifications before going to university.

You will receive excellent help and support from your tutors while studying with us – many of our old students come back to thank us for the help we have given them.
