School Leavers
Use the Aspire School Leavers Guide and talk to an a parent or carer, advisers at school or Connexions Personal Adviser, to decide which courses would suit your career or higher education ambitions.
If you know which course you want, simply complete and return an application form (don’t worry if you make a mistake - you can always ask for another). We’ll then write to you to arrange an informal course interview or assessment and if you’re successful, we’ll offer you a provisional place dependent on a satisfactory school reference and your expected examination results.
If you’d like to discuss your options with college tutors or apply in person, come along to our open evenings in November and February. If you have any queries or need more information about any of our courses or services, call our Helpline on 01204 907000.
Adult Education and Community Learning
Returning to education couldn’t be easier. For most of our courses, full and part time, it’s simply a case of turning up at our Enrolment Centre prior to the course’s start date or coming along to one of our enrolment and advice days. You’ll have a chance to talk to a subject tutor and get all the information you need before enrolling.
If the course you’ve chosen requires an initial interview, or if you need any additional information or advice from a tutor, then please call our Helpline on 01204 907000 or e-mail info@boltoncc.ac.uk
Once you’ve completed an enrolment form you will be asked to pay your tuition and other associated costs, such as examination and awarding body fees and materials. You can pay by cash, cheque or credit/debit card. If your employer is paying your fees by invoice, you must bring proof of this on the employer’s letterhead.
Some course fees can be settled by instalment if the fees are greater than £100, although there is an £25 administration fee charged for this option (this charge will be returned if all payments are made on time). Those in receipt of benefits such as Jobseekers’ Allowance, Income Support or Housing Benefit may not need to pay tuition fees and others may be entitled to a discount – please ask.
Refunds will only be made if a course is cancelled, or if there is an administration error made by the college resulting in an overcharge.
