Our Mission

Customer Suggestion Scheme

The Customer Suggestion Scheme has been developed to enable our customers to influence the way the College operates to ensure their needs are met. Every one of our customers are encouraged to submit their ideas for improvement.

If you have a good idea which you would like us to consider we want to hear from you. Your idea could be about any aspect of College life, for example it could be related to:

  • Improving customer service
  • Health and Safety
  • Improving the physical environment
  • Celebrating success
  • New services we could offer
  • Ways we could save money or energy and reduce waste

Who can make a suggestion?

If you are involved with Bolton College in any way - you can make a suggestion. We want ideas from current students, parents, those thinking about becoming a student, employers, community partners and council members. In fact, we want as many positive suggestions as we can get to help us provide all our customers with an excellent service every time.

If you would like to send us a suggestion as a group or team, that’s fine as long as you give us the name of one person who we can contact for more information if we need to.

If you would like to make a suggestion, please fill out the Customer Suggestion Form.

How do I make a suggestion?

Fill out the Customer Suggestion Form.

What happens next?

Our Customer Services Manager will write to you so that you know your suggestion has been received. We’ll send you a letter within 5 working days of reading your suggestion.

Your suggestion will be looked at by our Customer Care Committee (CCC) to decide whether or not the College is able to develop it further. This will depend on issues such as:

  • How original the suggestion is
  • How many people the idea would affect
  • How much it would cost the College
  • How realistic it would be to make happen

If your suggestion doesn’t make it past this stage our Customer Services Manager will write to let you know.

If the CCC thinks your idea is a great one, they will contact other staff for their opinion such as a Programme Manager or a tutor.

Your suggestion will then be looked at by the Principal and other members of the Quality Group who will make a final decision on whether your suggestion should be used.

How will I know if my suggestion is used?

The Principal will write to you to let you know if the College can put your idea into action. We’ll aim to do this within 5 working days of making a decision.

All the suggestions considered by the Quality Group will be published regularly on Moodle.

Are there any suggestions which won’t be accepted?

The College won’t deal with suggestions which are:

  • Thought to be copied from some one else
  • Considered personal or aimed at an individual

  • Submit Your Idea
