Digital: Digital Production, Design & Development T Level

We’re currently in a digital revolution, with technology encompassing all sectors of employment; to meet the needs of this growing sector, highly-skilled young people are needed to design, implement, maintain and innovate, and the demand for a skilled workforce just keeps on growing!

 

When it comes to employment or university, current and up-to-date qualifications are ESSENTIAL, so this two-year programme has been developed with employers and businesses from the digital sector, which means the content is:

Equivalent to three A Levels, the broad nature of this T Level will prepare you for a variety of roles; at the heart of this T Level is an Industry Placement, so you’ll also get to spend 20% of your time with an employer, giving you vital experience in the world of work - you’ll experience life in the digital industry, possibly working on a real-life development project; for example, you may find yourself working alongside a Software Developer, following the full software lifecycle, right from the design phase through to testing.

Industry Placements

One of the many advantages of this T Level is an Industry Placement – what better way to enhance your learning, than utilising your new skills and knowledge on a sector-specific placement with an employer!

 

This means that 80% of your T Level will be classroom based, and the other 20% will see you learning from professionals in the digital sector, on the job; on completion of the programme, you’ll impress employers and universities with your experience, ensuring you progress to your dream career or further learning!

Career options and progression

 

The sole purpose of a T Level is to prepare you for employment and a dynamic career. Due to the broad range of topics covered on the Digital T Level, you’ll be equipped for a career in a variety of sectors. You could work as a:

  • CAD Administrator in the engineering industry, upgrading systems and troubleshooting support tickets, earning up to £50,000 per year
  • Games Tester, pinpointing gameplay errors, glitches or bugs, earning up to £40,000 per year
  • WebDesigner for an online shopping retailer, earning up to £40,000 per year

 

T level 2021 22 Not Ready for a T Level2

 

If you’ve got the ambition to succeed on this T Level, but you’re not quite ready to start, you can begin with a T Level Transition Programme in Digital.

 

English and maths will be a focus, ensuring you get that essential grade 4, and you’ll also learn some of the vital skills that you will build on in this T Level.

 

On completion, you’ll be ready to progress, with the skills and confidence to succeed!
