Our Classic Car Restoration courses have a recreational emphasis and are mainly hands-on - you will work on vehicles in the College’s extensive motor vehicle and classic car restoration workshops.
In class, you will gain valuable knowledge and insight by working on a range of classic car restoration related projects. If you wish to bring in your own car and project, this can be pre-arranged with our tutor. You can progress from one 10 week block to the next over the course of the year, subject to places being available, allowing sufficient time for you to complete your project.
We have strong links with the University of Bolton's new £13 million National Centre for Motorsport Engineering, a leading light in motorsport performance engineering. Our learners enjoy masterclasses within the Centre and there are clear progression routes from our motor vehicle courses to programmes delivered by the Centre, leading to a career as a motorsport engineer, vehicle technician or classic car restorer.
These are very popular courses so apply early to avoid disappointment!

I've always wanted a classic car and when I could afford to buy one, I wanted to be able to do a lot of the repairs and maintenance work myself. I’m enjoying developing my knowledge and skills in electrics, body panel repair and chrome repair. I’m looking forward to showing off my car at shows across the UK throughout the year.
