There’s a warm welcome in store at Bolton Community College, whether it’s your first step into learning, you’re progressing ongoing studies or simply learning for fun.

Our friendly learning centres provide the very best facilities together with hands-on support from tutors and access to college-wide resources.

With backing from Bolton Council, the college’s Personal and Community Development Learning programme aims to deliver worthwhile local learning and employment opportunities. The programme also promotes participation, inclusion, equality and diversity by developing voluntary and community initiatives, supporting school improvement, and encouraging capacity building and key regeneration initiatives.

Having clinched the prestigious Beacon Award at last year’s AoC Annual Conference for widening participation, Bolton College continues to reach out to learners within Bolton’s communities, providing accessible, flexible and locally based programmes. Our community students are typically adults taking first steps back into education, so you’ll find we deliver many taster and introductory courses, encouraging learners to progress onto higher-level learning as their skills and confidence grows.

If you would like more information about learning in your community call the college on 01204 907000 or call into your local community learning centre.
