About Us

Childcare at College

If you have pre-school children we can help you make time for learning by offering daytime Childcare and Nursery services.

We provide OFSTED registered full time childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years at three of our centres Manchester Road and sessions are available at our Deane & Derby and Westhoughton Centres.

If you’re aged 16 to 19, you can apply for Care to Learn Funding to meet childcare costs. Ask the Nursery Manager at the centre where you wish to place your child, for details.

If you’re aged 20 or over and in receipt of an income-based benefit or are on a low wage, the College may be able to help with some costs towards your childcare.

To apply for this, complete a Childcare Learner Support Fund Application Form.
(However, please note that completion of this form does not guarantee assistance).

If you’re already attending a College course, you must remember to re-apply and re-enrol your child for the next academic year and also re-apply for Learner Support Funding.

The hours, sessions and costs at our childcare centres vary and you should contact the Centre you wish to use for more details.

For further information about childcare, contact the Childcare Manager in the Guidance Centre at Manchester Road on:
