Boxing Academy
Bolton College Boxing Academy, together with Amir Khan’s Gloves Community Gym are offering great new learning opportunities in Boxing.
If you are aged between 16 and 19, and interested in a career in Boxing, then this new course is for you.
Commenting on the new Boxing Academy, Amir Khan, said: “Our new Academy is a fantastic opportunity for young people in Bolton. Boxing is often thought of as a violent sport, but that’s not the case. Through my experience, I have found it instils discipline and respect, and is a great way to keep fit.
“I decided to get involved with this initiative because I wanted a facility which will benefit people in the heart of community.
“The Academy is really important to me, and I would encourage young people to take full advantage of what it will have to offer, a range of qualifications along with professional training. If I had been given the chance to do something similar while I was at college, I would have jumped at the chance.
“Bolton College’s new £70m redevelopment is also going to be a great facility for the people of Bolton and the surrounding area, and the learners at our Boxing Academy will really benefit from it.”
